Privacy settings (Cookies) in IE7
« on: February 28, 2007, 10:44:59 am »
Hi, just had a customer who had Internet Explorer7. His privacy setting was on high and when he tried to login to the hotspot, your homepage came up with something like "failed to connect, invalid hotspot". Sorry I forgot the exact wording.
By changing his IE privacy settings to medium he was fine or by leaving them at high but adding www.worldspot.net to the sites allowed he was fine.
Is this a new thing to IE7? or is this just the first customer i've had who has there privacy settings on high?
Thought you'd like to know it happens, probably programming 101 to you ;D

WorldSpot UAM server needs cookies indeed to store a session ID, because the chillispot parameters are stored in the session.
I will try to see what I can do.
I never understood the problem people have with cookies...
