Remote Router Administration

Sorry to keep bugging you. Just been doing some more thinking about the solution.

What would happen if you made some change to the system which required a change to the chillispot config on the router? With 1 or 2 boxes this won't be a problem, but with 100+ that's a lot of customer visits. Is there any way of easily setting up remote access to the boxes? I was hoping this could be acheived without having to arrange port forwards on the customer's router. I was hoping these boxes could be preconfigured and posted to the client, with the customer being able to plug in and go.

Can you think of a smart solution around this problem?

This is a common problem that rclark already started to address.

This will be a feature of my future hotspot management script.
The router will simply poll worldspot to declare itself valid, and to get information about eventual upgrades.
This is not the easiest feature, because an error in the upgrade script can brick lots of hotspots at the same time.
Version management is also a big task...
