Hotspot status page

Hi all at Worldspot,
We have been using Coova for a while and have been working on reliable remote login to the hotspot boxes without real luck yet, (IP, DNS, port forwarding problems?) would it be possible to  have a page in your Worldspot account and show that the hotspot is on line even thou it may not actuality in use by a customer?

We now have 6 hotspots  and growing over a 2500km range and it would be nice to quickly see the status of each hotspot and to give us the heads up if there is a fault instead of a customer calling and saying that it is of line. Not to good :-(

I'm working on high availability scripts right now.
They will include pinging worldspot servers, failover, and there will be a hotspot monitoring feature.

I hope they will be ready to test in some weeks.

Sounds good, we look forward to test the new features when your ready, I may make up some sms controlled switches for remote and after hrs reboot if needed, anything to prevent the need to drive 100's or 1000's Km and keep all the customers happy and online. :-)

Just an extension to the remote status wish, "is it" / "would it" be possible to send a reboot signal to a coova AP hotspot from within the pending worldspot hotspot status page?

For this kind of maintenance operation, you should consider setting up dynamic dns, and enable remote management of the router from the internet with the web interface or ssh.
