Customizing hotspot page style (css...)
« on: July 31, 2008, 03:15:01 pm »
Worldspot uses a css file to render the hotspot page.
You may search for a tutorial on the web or get this one:
http://www.w3schools.com/css/

Worldspot css file is here

You can override each entry on your hotspot to customize your own style.
For example, for a black background with white text you can do this:
Go in the welcome page editor, and click on the source button.

then replace all content with this:
Code: [Select]
<style type="text/css">
<!--
body {
background: #000000 ;
margin: 20px;
color: #ffffff;
}
td.content {
  color: #ffffff;
  background-color:#222222;
}
td.contentPair {
  color: #ffffff;
  background-color:#111111;
}
h1,h2,h3,h4,h5,h6{
  font-weight: bold;
  color: #aaaaff;
  }
a {
color: #aaaa10;
}
-->
</style>
%(content)

You can customize almost everything this way.
Here is an example

Enjoy!

What if ...
For long time I'm looking for something similar to this:

I've a small forum that I use to comunicate with my hotspot users. I would like to open this forum in a separate page when the users are redirected to the landing page 8)

Is this possible?
How?

Thank you!

Yes it is possible

simply add a link in your welcome page to your forum (hosted anywhere on the internet)
Don't forget to add the forum in your hotspot "walled garden" (uamallowed option of chillispot)
To make the forum appear in a new window, click in the "link" button, enter the forum url, click on target tab, and select "new window" for the target.

I've all that already  :D
But ... I want the forum page to open automatically, like a popup or something.

You have full control on the html.
You should have a look on google to get a method of doing that.
The difficult part is to go through all the browsers anti popup mechanisms.

Hi there,
old thread, I know, but I'm wondering if there is a way to customize the last part of the page. I would like to have just a connect button (I don't offer tickets on my restaurant) for the free account. Without any other information. Is it possible without go debranded?

The stock page is kind of confusing, sometimes I need to physically grab a customer phone and connect for him because he/she doesn't know where to tap. A big red (fire!) button will help.

Thanks.
