Hi,It seems that when connecting to a SSL secured website from the hotspot, the SSL certificate from secure.worldspot.net overwrite the site's certificate which present a big problem for all hotspot custmers. Did I misse something or should change some configurations ?

This is actually from Firefox 3.5. Safari 4 works fine.

Hi,

the problem append again as you can see on this screenshot.

Looks like the domain maptimize.com, google.com, ... get redirected to worldspot.net right now (not even the login page), maybe the issue come from this. Couple clients told me about such behavior as well with various domains.

Waiting for your lights,
Warm regards,

Are you connected (logged in) to the hotspot when you get this message?
What is your action to get this?
Are you trying to get to https://www.maptimize.com/ ?

Hi,

Yes, this appends when I'm logged in. Actually it append again and looks likes it append when the main connection drop but the authentication to hotspot remain valid. Once the connection come back such problems seems to appear until I logout and login again.

This screenshot comes from https://maptimize.com/login

When I click on your link, I get the same screen as you have.
But I'm not using a hotspot...

This message is normal as you try to access maptimize.com instead of www.maptimize.com. The ssl certificate is for www.maptimize.com
This is NOT related to hotspots.

I use the official link normally so was maybe with the www.maptimize.com, anyway the problem is well present.

As you might see on the screenshot it says that this certificate is only valid for : secure.worldspot.net and www.secure.worldspot.net

Are you sure you don't get redirected to the portal?
I'm not sure what is happening.
I can't reproduce the problem.

What is your firmware version?

Sometimes I do get redirected to the portal, that append from time to time as well (just append today again).

But the SSL case append pretty much at the same times but only replace the SSL certificate of this domain by using the worldspot's one.

My routers are installed with DD-WRT v24 SP1 (with the last update from July 27 2009) and I use a Mac Book Pro with Leopard. I've tried and face this issues with Safari, Firefox and Thunderbird while checking emails.

Hope that will help you to get this issue reproduced and identified,
Warm regards,
