Price Model
« on: May 19, 2015, 09:42:51 am »
I have a question about the current price model:
We don't want a ticket system. Only free hotspots with accepting terms and conditions before launching the internet. But there seems to be a 30 user limit.
Quote
"Free hotspots" (which means no conditional access with tickets) will remain free with some (small) limitations: 30 maximum simultaneous connections.

What will be the price be if I have 200 simultaneous connections at a peak and no tickets enabled. We need only a splash page with terms and conditions and a redirection to a website after connection.

The example from your website (with ticktes) would be very expensive for this case.
Quote
30 simultaneous connections are allowed. If you have more than 30 simultaneous connections, you will be charged 9 more credits per 30 concurrent connections. For example, if your hotspot reaches 100 simultaneous connections in a month period you will be charged your 9 (or 12) + 3*9 = 36 (or 39 credits).

With 200 simultaneous connections (could happen if a 50 room hotel as full house and guests connect simultaneous with tablet, smartphone, notebooks etc. -> today this is the normal use case) we would have a monthly usage of 7*9 = 63 Credits => have to pay 63 EURO?

The price model will be based on the monthly number of connections of your hotspot.
A connection is a customer login to the portal up to the disconnect (by clicking logout, or wifi inactivity)

Free hotspot will remain free up to a certain point, then there will be a pricing still to be determined, much less than 63 euros.

I will work on this ASAP.

Thank you very much for your answer.

    Some more questions for:
Quote
the monthly number of connections of your hotspot.
and
Quote
certain point

How much is the monthly free number and when is the point reached?
How much are the coasts after that point for further connections?[/li][/list]

And can you give me price-calculation for the following example?
2000 connections per month.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

I have a similar question.

We are using Open Mesh Cloudtrax and want to have users authenticated through WorldSpot.

Users are given 30 minutes access for free after entering username and password and viewing our marketing splash page.

We do not issue tickets or use billing services.

Do you charge for this type of connection?
If no, is there a limit per month to the number of 30 minute connections per hotspot for authentication?
If yes, what is your pricing per hotspot per month if we do not use tickets?

Thanks.

Hello

Future price are still not decided yet.
They could be (for no ticket/billing) :
- free up to 500 sessions per month
- 2 credits per hotspot per month : 500 to 2000 sessions per month
- 4 credits per hotspot per month : 2000 to 5000 sessions per month
- 6 credits per hotspot per month : 5000 to 10000 sessions per month
- 8 credits per hotspot per month : 10000 to 20000 sessions per month
then 2 more credits  per hotspot per month every 10000 sessions per month

A session is when a user authenticates on the portal up to the disconnection. A returning user is a new session.

Thanks so much for your reply.

Just to clarify, Free up to 500 sessions per month is per hotspot, correct?

What is the price of a credit per hotspot per month for 500 to 2,000 sessions? Is there a discount if there were 20 hotspots or 40?

When the hotspot reaches 501 sessions, how do we get charged for the 1 session? Do you send us a bill and we pay via credit card?

Does the price per session change with the duration of the session? For example, is the price of a 1 hour session the same as 30 minutes?

Thanks.

It would be pre-paid (you have advance credits in your account) or post-paid: if you don't have enough credit at end of period, an email would be sent, and you have few days to pay.
This is why it is not yet implemented.
