MAC without chillispot control
« on: October 21, 2006, 07:21:48 pm »
I need that some WIFI clients can connect to Internet without register or logging.
It would be possible to identify clients with his MAC´s to bypass chillispot?
Thanks!
This is a great project !!!

Another thing that would be interesting is that when a client logs into chillispot he no need to select access profile.
Client must select access profile in the first session but not in the next until access profile finishes.

MAC address authentication is planned after online billing.
Don't forget that it is not safe!

What about when a client logs into chillispot he no need to select access profile.
Client must select access profile in the first session but not in the next until access profile finishes.
What do you think about it?

do you mean a private or registered client?
Do you want it to be automaticaly connected from the mac address?
This is possible. Will do it after online billing, with mac address auth.

The idea is:
- All user must be registered. All wifi clients must open user session.
- Tickets would be a code that users enter after open their registered count. Tickets are associated to user accounts.
- Could be implemented a "Auto-selection" of last used or default access profile of users? When users open session they show a count down like 3,2,1,0 and without selecting anything the last or default access profile is auto-selected and user can surf to internet. During the count down users can change the access profile that they want to be opened if they can select more than one.
It´s more simple than actual system to wifi clients.
