How to know if a firmware upgrade is needed?
« on: June 16, 2013, 03:14:51 pm »
Hello,

It has been about 10 months since I turned on my worldspot router.  (I am using it for a campground only during the summer.)

Everything seems to work, but I would like to make sure that the router is using latest version of the worldspot firmware.   How can I do this?

Hi

There are several level of firmware:
The worldspot management script which does most of the job is automaticaly updated.
The firmware itself is not automatically updated. But there are very few updates of this. last one is r31059

As there is no real problem reported (except for latest wr1043nd with some wifi problems), no updates are made currently.

next release will be based on new openwrt 12.09
